chapter 1  i was at my home in the hall at 1 pm sitting on the floor with my laptop  chapter 2  there was nobody around near me. except my cute little cats near me. I mean in my lap purring and sleeping with cozyness. even though it was cozy for me when the cat's fur touched me. but it was hot. chapter 3 i was writing my complicated story. so complicated that it was difficult to get ideas to write. plus petting my cats. plus i was laughing and running around in the middle of my writing.  chapter 4 i love writing stories. and i am always excited to write and i love my cats purring. chapter 5  i heard my cats purring and birds chirping and the stinky smell of my cats. and the smell of my cats suddenly disappeared. i was happy that the stinky smell was gone. and the stinky smell came again. and i was like why? chapter 6 my yellow eyed, gray coloured teen aged cats. purring when sleeping, fighting with other cats and getting hurt. loves to eat chicken. and very soft cats.  my friendly l...

Chitra Iyer Article

Here is an article by Chitra Iyer, Earth Lover (Also attached is a pic) 5 tips for sustainable living no matter who or where you are My family I moved from the city to live on a farm about ten years ago, and that started our journey towards sustainability. Over the years, we have learned to grow our own food, work with local farmers for barter exchanges, and most importantly, buy mindfully for minimal waste disposal - there is no government system of waste disposal. You may think living at a farm necessitates this sort of 'eco-friendliness' but trust me, it's possible for each of us, no matter where we live or what we do, to practice a few basic tenets of earth-friendly living. Here are 5 ideas: 1. WAIT before you buy. Avoid impulse buying. Every time you want to buy something, force yourself to wait a day or two and ask if you really need it. Use sites such as https://www.storyofstuff.org/ to find out the origins and how much it impacts the plane...

Days of the Week!

Experience of learning/unlearning Days of the Week.  I thought let me see if Suhrud  knows days of the week.  So he knew few, then he asked me do they keep repeating? And I said yes.  He asked to me say the names and he wanted to repeat after me. Then he wanted to do once more.      So, I started giving him sound of the starting letter of the name of day like "M M M " and he completed by saying M M M Monday" .. and so on.  Then greedy me thought let me do once more. Then it will get wired ... ( How sometimes I can't let go of my old habits! 😝)  So I said ok let's do again and this is what happened to Days of the week. ( Read it with sounds of starting letter..) M M M Monday T T T Tande W W W Wanday Th Th Th Thande F F F Funday S S S Sunday I literally rolled down laughing.  And that's how I learnt /unlearnt today, what the Days of the Week are! Cheers! Submission for the next edition of the Masti Magazine

Hola Masti Magazine Editorial Team, I know this submission comes at the last minute but as they say, it is better late than never!  Hope you will consider my submission for a story series. I plan to call it, "The Adventures of Kirbee". Being the first in the series, I have made a small reader's note with an invitation to collaborate in his future adventures.  Happy editing! Captain Kumeran Kirbee catches a Travofogue Kirbee was a jolly good fellow living in a little village called Portree in Scotland. Now the village of Portree was beautiful with rolling hills, dark forests, charming huts with chimneys, and even a very still pond in whose waters, you could see a clear reflection of your face. The villagers knew each other life went about at a slow pace. The most exciting event in the past year was when a red fox grabbed one of Mr. Lachlan's sheep.  Kirbee spirit, however, seemed as though it was cut from a very different cloth. He was always looking for an adventure. ...

First Poem written by Suhrud (Feb 2021) ************** Dinos Dinos everywhere On the Table, In the chair! W W everywhere Sitting on the W chair! *************** (Image of his handwritten attached) Story behind the poem: I was trying to write jingle for Radio Aarohi and he was listening to me reading it out loud and making changes. Suddenly he came up to me and said he too wants to write a poem and he sat down with pen and paper and recited his words, he asked me to dictate spelling/ sounds of his words and he wrote it.. That moment reminded me of Ratnesh's words while we had just decided to join Aarohi X, that Suhrud for his age might not sit through klubs and all, but if you and raj participate it will surely brush off on him! That's the magic of Community learning for me! I am in love with the poem written by Suhrud and also the story behind it and my reflection around the same! :) Cheers! Anuj
